AURELIO MALDONADO

ABOUT

First and foremost, I'm an inquisitive mind.

I'm a visual content creator more than 20 years of experience dragging pixels. 18 of those, focused on e-learning. I'm used to push the limits of any content creation tool that I can get mi hands upon, to learn something new every day and to find out-of-the-box solutions for complex problems.

Photo of Me
Parallell to my college studies, I worked half time as a design apprentice. I borrowed software manuals from work and teach myself to use most of Adobe software in a matter of days.
In 2005 I graduated college, I was the valedictorian at the ceremony. A year later, I found my first e-learning related job.
It started as a temporal position, but it became a journey of 11 years developing tailored learning solutions for both private clients and government.
In 2018 I arrive at Santander, I got selected to be part of an ambitious and disruptive training program, that eventually became so successful that it was copied in other 2 countries: Academia MX.
In 2019 a new challenge knocked at my door in Santander, to become part of the team that would launch a global training platform, with impact on 10 countries and over 200k emplooyees: the Dojo LX HUB.

Finalist CLIO awards 2005 (student edition)
They said I didn't win because Macs will never be gaming computers. And they were right.
Second place, postal stamp design contest.
The winner of the first place (Who also won the at national level) was a student from my university, the same as second and third places. That day my small universiti gave the big ones a run for their money.
Honorable mention in a UNAM poster contest
Nothing to call home about. In my defense, I was still a student.
Acknowledgement from the director of the campus for having obtained the best performance of the generation.
Fourth place in a poster contest, unfortunately the poster file was lost when a hard drive failed.
one of the 50 Honorable mentions in a poster contest with more than 1,800 entries
.
A somewhat trite idea, but I think I pulled it off :)
Participation in a collective exhibition of sculptures made of magic tape.
As I have never been good at sculpting, I decided to cover myself with tape, the result was satisfactory, the process, not so much.
Honorable mention in cell phone intervention contest.
The nice thing about clamshell phones is that you can take advantage of the opening mechanism to make a dragon spread its wings. To date, this is the most creative thing I've done with epoxy resin and an old umbrella.
Part of the winning team of a cell phonehort film rally.
This is not an official acknoledgement, but it was the first time my work was recognized outside the borders of my country. It was an animation contest using a rather rudimentary online tool.
